10-year-old rapper Lil' Poopy is hitting da club, acting way too grown for his own good

Before you read this story, I must warn you that you are going to see the word "poop" A LOT. Pint-sized rapper, Lil' Poopy, whose real name is, Luie Rivera Jr., is a 10-year-old from Brockton, Massachusetts. He became a YouTube sensation after his music video "Pop that Remix" caused controversy because of how explicit it was.

In the video, Lil' Poopy smacks a woman's behind and raps about adult themes-- which has for obvious reasons left many people concerned. But his father, Luie Rivera Sr. defends his son's actions and says it's all "acting". However, police took the matter much more seriously and referred the case to the state Department of Children and Families. Wait till you hear what happened next!

Things Latina moms say: Latina momisms and what they really mean

Every mother regardless of their cultural background develops a shorthand with which they communicate with their kids. Shoot moms can say volumes to their kids with just a look. You know it's true, you know there is that look that a mom can shoot a kid which will stop a kid dead in his/her tracks. There will however always be times when a look won't do it, when a mom has to say something, but it's not necessarily exactly what she is thinking.

We can refer to this indirect ways of saying what you mean to your child without actually saying what you mean as momisms. Every mom has momisms. Some momisms are shared across cultures. Some momisms are more prevalent in particular cultures than in others. I am becoming a master of Latina momisms.

We all turn into our moms and it's impossible to avoid! Here's why

If you've even been told that you're acting like your mother, there may be some truth to it. A poll run by Dottybingo.com discovered that more than half of women become like their moms in their early 30's. It turns out our interests, attitudes, and tastes start to imitate that of our mothers, hence why we end up becoming like them.

For some women this may be the ultimate nightmare, but for others (like me) it may be a good thing!

School's toy gun buy-back program just might be the dumbest idea I've ever heard

I'm the first one to raise my hand--and my voice--when it comes to passing tougher gun control laws. I hate guns and what they're capable of doing, and while my husband has one in the house, it's unreachable thanks to a lock combination that only my he knows. I'm sick and tired of hearing of yet another child accidentally shooting their brother, mother, father or neighbor, and even more so of deranged gunmen going on a rampage like the one in Santa Monica Friday. Even so, I honestly don't think that a toy gun buy back program is going to make any difference at all.

As my first year of motherhood is about to come to a close, I keep thinking of things I would have done differently or things I wish someone would have told me before I became a mom. I've already shared my top five rules for surviving the first year, but here are six more rules to help keep you from having the same regret:

5 Great bedtime stories for babies (PHOTOS)

Besides offering the perfect opportunity to cuddle and wind down before bedtime, many experts believe that reading to your baby daily from birth will turn him or her into an early reader. Even if your child ends up reading on his own at an average age, getting him started young will help baby learn to value books and words and will start building his vocabulary and comprehension skills from from early on. At just a year old, I often find my son whom we read to before all naps and at bedtime, sitting in a pile of books flipping through pages and babbling.

Can you spend too much money on your kid's clothes? Um, YES!

Excuse me while I judge someone else's parenting. I know it's awful, but sometimes I start judging before I can stop myself. Finding out that 31-year-old model Vicky Antonia has spent over $30,000 on designer label clothing for her 8-year-old son made me judge her as a mother maybe just a teeny tiny bit. Vicky Antonia lives with her son Zak in Epping, Essex; they share the home with his Armani, D&G, Burberry, Ralph Lauren, Gucci, and Prada clothing and his over 200 pairs of  posh footwear.
