The 7 worst pregnancy symptoms you can experience

Poor Kim Kardashian. I don't mean that sarcastically at all, I actually feel really bad for her. It's hard enough being pregnant when you're not under the spotlight--every pregnant woman is scrutinized, judged, and critiqued at some point--"She's gaining too much weight", "She's gaining too little weight", "I can't believe she's wearing heels", "OMG did she just eat fish?"--it gets old real fast. I can't imagine having the entire world watching, and this woman has been ridiculed for everything from traveling too much to wearing the wrong dress. And now, I've seen a picture of her sad edema-ridden legs and swollen tootsies squeezed into a pair of clear, plastic heels, and I can't help but cringe.

4 Signs of impending labor that you might not notice

When I gave birth to my son a week early it was completely surreal. I mean, pregnancy and labor and delivery are probably always on the surreal side, but I was almost in shock that it had actually happened. Throughout most of my pregnancy, I had a feeling that my baby was going to arrive early, but my strategy for dealing with the fear of labor and delivery was simply to pretend that it wasn't going to happen. During the week before I delivered I might have been intentionally oblivious to some degree, but there were also a few signs that labor was soon to come that I just didn't think twice about. Now keep in mind that these things can mean absolutely nothing for some women, but they could very well be cues that your baby's birth is not far off. Here are four signs that your baby will be arriving soon:

MUST-SEE: 'Pregnant Dad' is a hysterical Tumblr chronicling wife's pregnancy

OMG, I'm literally dying of laughter over here because I just stumbled upon what is probably the most hilarious site I've ever seen chronicling pregnancy.

It's called Pregnant Husband and it was created by the twisted and hysterical mind of Jeffrey Bausch. We should give this man an award, because even though he didn't actually experience the pregnancy himself, he obviously paid a whole lot of attention to his wife the entire time.

7 Dangerous foods that could put your pregnancy at risk!

Practicing good habits while pregnant can be extremely tricky. While we all know we need to avoid tobacco and alcohol, sometimes the changes aren't so cut and clear.

A lot of the foods usually good for us become dangerous when we're carrying a baby. As a Latina woman, I had to make some drastic changes to my diet when I became pregnant. I had to cut out a lot of the foods from my culture that I thought were good for me. I figured, since these foods had protein and calcium, they would be healthy and needed to create strong bones. But when you're carrying a baby, you have to be extra careful.

It's extremely important to know which foods are dangerous to eat. So that when the time comes where your hormones are going crazy and the cravings start kicking in, you can plan around this and find alternatives.

Snooki on pregnancy: "Disgusting" but worth it

Snooki

In a recent interview Snooki referred to pregnancy as being "disgusting", but said that motherhood was awesome. Snooki is not aware of it, but after cracking me up with a video that she made giving Kim Kardashian labor advice she became my new imaginary best friend. Her candor about pregnancy just seals our imaginary bond even further.

Oh, I'm sure there will be many who think Snooki bad-mouthing pregnancy is just too much, but I admire her for it. Why? Because she is telling the truth: her truth. Not everyone has a great pregnancy. Thank you Snooki for busting the pregnancy myth!

Case in point? When I found out my aunt was pregnant for the first time this past Christmas (she shared the news on an ornament!), I let out an ear-piercing scream, jumped up and down, and then ran over to hug her before bursting into tears. Yup. I was that excited.
