Meet April Hernandez-Castillo, a beautiful actress who got her big break in 2007's Freedom Writers opposite Hilary Swank, but has since made a name for herself as an outspoken activist against domestic violence and a motivational speaker for children in at-risk communities.
April is still a busy actress too, landing spot on TV shows like 30 Rock, Nurse Jackie, and most recently Person of Interest. She was also a part of the 2010 SAG nominated cast of season five of the Showtime hit, Dexter. When she's not acting, volunteering, speaking, or fulfilling her duties as a dedicated wife--she's preparing to be a mami!
