Getting out of the house to run some errands or meet a friend for lunch with baby in tow can at times seem like a Herculean effort. The 6 scariest dolls we've ever seen! (PHOTOS)

Joining the ranks of the most incredibly creepy dolls of all time are the new zombie dolls! After 2012 saw its fair share of bizarre toys, it looks this next year is going to be no different. This latest eerie toy craze was created by 32-year-old Bean Shanine, owner of The Twisted Bean Stalk Nursery.

Shanine spends up to 8 hours a day making her "zombie babies," which come complete with vampire-ish teeth, pale skin, and--most frightening of all--dead, vacant eyes. Her creations started out as a hobby, turned into a business in 2010 and now, for reasons beyond my comprehension, have actually become a hit. Some of the dolls have even sold for as much as $1,500 to collectors all around the world!

3 year olds do NOT need iPads!

Classic toy makers are running scared of a new trend emerging in holiday gift giving: Parents are giving their kids--as young as 3 years old!--high-tech devices like iPads and Kindles instead of the regular wood, rubber or plastic toys that us parents were used to getting as kids.

One big wig at a top financial firm even admitted to Financial Times daily: "The top two guys, Mattel and Hasbro, they are terrified."

I know as a kid, I would have died for a Cabbage Patch or the newest Barbie. I understand that toy choices are very different now--it is 2012, after all--but I have to wonder: Is giving a toddler a tablet really worth it?

Should we really be teaching toddlers that looks are all that matter?

These days, it seems like little girls act way more grown up than I did when I was younger. Even in their toddler years, they already know how to use cell phones, have a penchant for wearing mini high-heels and do all sorts of adult-like things that I feel like I didn't even know about when I was the same age. And now, a blog called the Alpha Parent has captured this trend by listing a ridiculous multitude of "beautifying" toys for young girls.

Seriously, I didn't even know this many little purse/handbags/pretend lipsticks existed! Now, the question is, are these toys even appropriate for kids?
