In January of 2012, Jaimie Gonzalez, who was 15 years old at the time, was shot to death at Cummings Middle School by police officers. His parents are  suing the city of Brownsville, Texas and five of its officers in Federal Court. The Gonzalezes claim that at the time that Jaimie was shot, he was standing alone and did not pose a threat to anyone else.

Forty one people have been arrested following a massive sting operation in Polk County, Florida targeting online sexual predators.

The operation was carried out over several days between June 8 and June 15. The suspects, which include forty men and one woman ranging in age from 18 to 65, traveled from as far as Wisconsin and Alabama expecting to have sexual encounters with minors. How horribly disturbing is that? But there's another truly scary detail...

A Fathers Day mass in Utah turned near-fatal when a man walked into the Catholic church and shot his father-in-law right in the back of the head.

Charles Richard Jennings Jr. reportedly entered the church hand in hand with his wife. As she sat in her pew, he marched up to her dad, pulled out a gun, and fired a shot, sending people diving for cover. Now, everyone is left wondering what could've possibly possessed him to do such a thing.

Never let it be said that I don't believe sex crimes should be punished because they should. I also think it is a good idea that those who are convicted of sex crimes should have to register as sex offenders.

But I'm not so clear on what to do about sex offenders who are still considered children. In other words, should those minors who commit sex crimes against other minors be branded as sex offenders for the rest of their lives? 

An upstate New York man is facing jail time after interfering with four boys, aged between eight and 10, from vandalizing a house.  Why would he get punished for what seems like a good deed, you ask? Well apparently, Jesse Daniels locked all of the kids in a closet while he waited for the police to arrive. Err, yeah, that is definitely NOT good.
