Paul Templer was a 27-year-old river guide in Zimbabwe when he was swallowed by a hippo. The hungry (hungry) hippo attack happened 17 years ago when Templer was leading a kayak tour down the Zambezi River and probably had more to do with the hippo being territorial than actually hungry. His story is unbelievable!

A woman in Oklahama City was left shocked and horrified this past weekend after the dog she was caring for carried a dead newborn baby girl home in its mouth.

The pet, named Luke, was being watched by a house-sitter while his unidentified owner was out of town. At around 8 a.m. on Saturday, the dog was let out and returned with something in his mouth, which he placed by the woman's feet. When she went to investigate what it was, she found a three to five pound dead baby wrapped in plastic!

Can you imagine anything more terrifying?

Puppies are always cute and cuddly, but sometimes, they can also be downright hilarious.

Take for example, little Pacino.

In the super funny video below, viewers can see him sitting on the kitchen floor as his owners try to teach him how to catch a toy. As he waits for the woman to throw it his way, Pacino stares at her with fierce intensity. You can practically hear him thinking "I can do this, I can do this, I can do this." He even leans his whole little body forward in anticipation!

But alas, when the big moment comes, he eyes, leaps ... and falls completely backwards. Haha, awww! Have you ever seen anything cuter in your life? Well, at least he tried!

In just a few short months, my son will be 1 year old. The time has flown by and while I still feel like a very new mom, I think I might be stripped of that title once my son hits the walking stage and a brand-new crop of babies makes its arrival. I guess it's warranted considering there is no longer much that can shock me about babies. Many people tend to perceive pit bulls as dangerous, but a 10-year-old pit bull named Baby is being hailed as a hero after helping her owners escape a house fire. It all happened on Tuesday morning when Rhonda Westenberger and her sister, Evelyn, were sound asleep when suddenly their Wellston, Oklahoma home began to fill with flames. Baby immediately began to bark and nudge at the two until they finally woke up and escaped the fire.

Recently, we've met a few dogs with some pretty impressive talents. From the car-driving canines to the pups who talk to each other via Skype, it seems like dogs are quickly catching up with humans in some areas. But I think my favorite of these skilled pooches has to be the adorable Yorkie in the video below, who can walk on his two front legs!

After his owners put little boots on his two back paws, Lou is obviously trying to figure out how to move in them. Unsure of what to do, he starts balancing on his front legs and walking forward as if doing a handstand ... and lucky for us, the hilarious results were all caught on tape!
