The relationship between Madonna and daughter Lourdes Leon has been pretty rocky in recent months and somehow, I don't think the superstar's new Instagram account is going to be making it any better.
That's right, Madonna has officially entered the 21st century and joined Instagram! But before you rush to your phone and start following her, I should warn you: I took a look at the pictures she's already posted and they're NOT pretty. In fact, they are downright embarrassing.
To kick things off, the singer posted a picture of herself wearing what looks like a nightie and sipping a martini. The caption reads, "Cheers motherf***ers! I'm on Instagram!" Seriously, does this woman own any actual clothing? Y'know, like the non-lingerie kind? But it only gets worse from there. Because one cleavage-baring photo obviously wasn't enough, Madonna then posted a close-up shot of her sweaty chest. "Addicted to sweat!!!!" she wrote.

OK, here's where I have to draw the line. What kind of grown woman takes selfies of her boobs and then posts it on social media for the whole world to see? It's bad enough when teenage girls on Myspace do that, but for a 54-year-old mother of four to do so is beyond inappropriate, not to mention really disturbing. And it's definitely not such a great example for her daughter, who is actually 16 and has come under fire for tweeting out racy pictures of herself before.
If I was Lourdes, I would be mortified. Then again, I guess she's used to this kind of thing and probably expects it from her mom….which is just kind of sad. At some point, Madonna really needs to stop behaving like a teenager and start acting her age. For the sake of her kids (and for the rest of the Instagram world as well), hopefully it'll be sooner rather than later.
