We know having your child be part of Team USA must be a source of great pride for any parent--but did you know how absolutely nerve-wracking it can also be? As the parents of 18-year-old gymnast Aly Raisman show, it can be downright tormenting!
In the video below, the very tense--but super cute--Lynn and Ricky Raisman can be seen watching on as their daughter finishes her bar routine. It's truly an emotional rollercoaster for them!

I love how their expressions go from worried to tense to happy to expectant and finally to jubilant--all in a span of less than 40 seconds! Aly's dad sums it up best at the end as he releases a pent-up scream--it is really an inside look into what the lives of an Olympic athlete must be!
We're happy that these adorable parents will get to see their daughter compete for gold--the United States Gymnastics Team champion advanced to the all-around competition in the coming days. And I'm already looking forward to seeing more of the Raismans!
