Although part of me sometimes dreams of having a third child, the truth is that's just pure fantasy. Birth control pills were never a good choice for me because I always forgot to take them or they simply made me sick. I hate condoms so that's out of the question too. In the end, I decided to use an IUD that lasts five years. And while I'm pretty happy with the results, the truth is that although almost nil, I worry a little about its side effects.
And he's not alone. According to Planned Parenthood, about half a million men undergo vasectomies each year in the U.S., but the minority are black or Latino men.
