Tommy and Bea Greene, a loving couple from North Carolina, were married for 61 years and passed away within hours of each other. Last Friday at 6:50 a.m., Violet "Bea" Greene lost her battle with cancer at the age of 78. Her husband, Thomas Dunlap Greene, received the sad news of his wife's passing while he was in the hospital because the night before he had been admitted for heart failure.

A miraculous story comes out of Thailand after a dog rescued a newborn baby who was thrown out with the garbage. Pui, the hero in the story was wandering around the yard of her house when he saw the white plastic bag containing the infant alongside other trash and carried it back home. He alerted his owner, Gumnerd Thongmak, and his 12-year-old niece, Sudarat of his findings--which had a baby girl still alive in the bag.

Thankfully the baby was fine despite how she was found and now police are looking for her mother. How sad!

Dorothy Custer turned 102 years old on May 30^th and she knew just how to celebrate the occasion: by parachuting off the Perrine Bridge in Twin Falls, Idaho!

Originally, Custer says she was planning on having calm birthday…that is, until her family got involved. In honor of her big day, her relatives gifted her with a tandem jump alongside a professional BASE jumper--and Custer decided to take the plunge!

Carmel, New York high school students Brad Taylor and Dylan Meehan didn't expect to win "Cutest Couple" of their senior high school class, let alone make history. Shortly after their 18-year-old friend, Chelsea posted a photo of the couple from their senior year book to her Tumblr, everyone and their mother started to take notice. So much so, that within 24 hours of being posted, the photo had already reached over 100,000 shares. It's the first time in Carmel High School's history that a gay couple has won or even been nominated for this category and it's truly inspiring!

Leticia Zuniga was working on the cleaning staff of the upscale shopping mall Ridgedale Center, in Minnetonka, Minnesota. She worked for the subcontractor Service Management Systems, which is a Tennessee based-company with employees who clean malls throughout the country. Her boss was Marco Gonzalez. Zuniga alleges that during the time she worked for SMS, Gonzalez raped her repeatedly. Zuniga was an undocumented worker and Gonzalez knew that and took advantage of her vulnerable position, knowing that she would not report him for fear of being deported. But she did!

Prom is a milestone for any high school student, but it held special meaning to 18-year-old Sydney Corcoran.

The teen was hit by shrapnel and badly wounded in the Boston Marathon bombings. After weeks spent in the hospital and physical therapy, spending the night with her friends at the dance marked a turning point in her recovery--especially since she was crowned Prom Queen by her peers!
