Colombians are the happiest people in the world & I'm not surprised at all

More excellent news for Latinos! A poll by WIN/Gallop International Association recently revealed that Colombians are the happiest people in the world. The poll measured the "Global Barometer of Hope and Happiness," in 54 countries and as a result found that Colombia was twice as happy as the global average.

That's quite the number! So what other Latin countries made the list?

Confirmed: Our Latino tempers will actually help us live longer!

Excellent news for Latinos! A new study shows that having a temper is actually good for your health. Researchers at the University of Gena in Germany tested more than 6,000 patients and found that those who internalized anxiety had higher blood pressure. Meanwhile it was discovered that Spanish people and Italians were found to live on average two years longer.

Those who repressed their emotions were discovered to suffer from increased chance of developing a wide range of illnesses, from coronary heart disease to cancer and kidney damage. If you tend to hold in your anger, you may want to continue reading!

Resolución navideña: ¡libérate de las garras del perfeccionismo!

Confienso que hace un tiempo padecía de ese mal que llaman "perfeccionismo". Le tenía pavor a los errores, detectaba los defectos y sentía que sólo sería amada y aceptada si lograba perfección en todo lo que hacía. En ese tiempo pensaba que esta actitud era un deseo de superación, un deseo de hacer las cosas bien.

Sin embargo, con el tiempo me di cuenta que ese perfeccinismo no me servía para nada. Me atrapaba en un círculo vicioso que no me dejaba disfrutar la vida, ni ser feliz ni alcanzar mis más preciadas metas. No me curé de la noche a la mañana, pero sí recuerdo que un año mi única resolución fue eliminar el perfeccionismo de mi vida.

College helps students de-stress during final exams with an awesome puppy room!

This has got to be the BEST idea ever! Dalhousie University in Canada is offering a new fun way for students to de-stress in between final exams. They could have opted for massages or nap time, but instead chose puppies. The school is planning on designating a room on campus for students to come and play with puppies during their exam time, December 4 through December 6.

5 crazy TMI things that still haunt me after my pregnancy

After having only wanted to be a mom-to-one my entire life, now that I have my little guy, I'm pretty certain that we'll be having another. This is rather shocking considering how traumatizing certain parts of pregnancy and childbirth were.

For weeks, I've been saying that I must be a glutton for punishment. Even though my pregnancy wasn't high-risk and I had a fairly smooth delivery, being pregnant was not easy on me mentally or physically--and yet, I still cried when I boxed up my son's tiny newborn and 0-3 months clothes and found myself hoping that one day we'd be able to pull them back out again.
