6-year-old re-learns to walk after being paralyzed in car crash (VIDEO)

There are certain abilities that many of us take for granted, even one as seemingly easy as getting up and walking around. But this week, 6-year-old elementary school student, Caleb Roach, did something that is reminding everyone to be thankful for the simple joys in life.

Caleb was in a car crash nine months ago with his father. Though his dad only suffered minor injurues, the boy was devastingly left a paraplegic. He spent six weeks in a hospital, becoming accustomed to a wheelchair before traveling to Chicago in December for leg braces and advanced therapy. In between treatments, he would return home to attend kindergarten.

Abuelas really CAN do anything!

Now, I consider my abuelita a pretty strong woman. She taught college kids math (um, what?) while raising three kids and now she takes care of her grandkids. Although she lives a couple of states away with my aunt and cousin, whenever she comes to visit she's always cleaning the house, top to bottom, in every nook and cranny that you can imagine. Seriously, she cleans in places I never even thought could get dirty! That's why I've always known that grandmothers can do anything. But now that the Guinness World Record's oldest female bodybuilder and yoga teacher have come out, I really KNOW that they can!

Kids with cancer inspire the world by singing 'Stronger' (VIDEO)

I can't imagine what it's like to deal with cancer. I've only really come across it once (in my grandfather) but he was far away and I was never able to see him before he passed. But he had lived a pretty full life and most of my family was sure that it was his time. That's why whenever I hear of a child with cancer, it breaks my heart. These kids are the complete opposite. They've barely started living before they're struck with a disease that ends with many kids living in the hospital. That's why I was so impressed and touched by a video of kids with cancer from Seattle Children's Hospital singing a rousing rendition of Kelly Clarkson's "Stronger."

Inspiring paralyzed woman completes London Marathon wearing bionic suit

Think you have a long week ahead of you? I guarantee it'll seem easy compared to the journey Claire Lomas recently went through -- after 16 loooong days, Lomas, an inspiring paralyzed woman, became the first person ever to complete a marathon in a bionic suit.

After being thrown off her horse in 2007, Lomas was paralyzed from the chest down. Years of extensive rehab allowed her to begin using a ReWalk suit, a cutting-edge $70,000 system that uses motion detectors to help people walk on their own after they've lost the ability to. The suit acts as joints normally would, enabling the individual to shift their balance, take a step or turn a certain way.
