A 29-year-old mentally impaired woman claimed that three people kept her and her 5-year-old daughter captive in their Ohio home for more than two years. The woman who is being identified by the initials S.E. was invited to live with the trio when she met them; she was later subjected to abuse and inhuman conditions. Police were notified of the situation after they arrested the victim for trying to steal a candy bar and asked to be taken to jail because the three suspects "had been mean to her."

The last time Lilly Martin saw her daughters, one was 4 years old and the other one only 20 months old. Martin had gone to her cosmetology class and came back home to find her girls and her Egyptian husband had disappeared without a trace. In May, Martin was finally reunited with her daughters who traveled to Tampa from the Middle East where they spent the last 21 years of their lives being raised by their paternal grandparents. 

In what sounds like a movie scene gone horribly wrong, a Maine man used Facebook to stage a kidnapping and rescue so he could look like a hero, but ended up killing the teenage victim instead!

Kyle Dube was charged with the murder and kidnapping of 15-year-old Nichole Cable, whose body was found in a wooded area a week after she first went missing.  According to a report detailing the events that led to the young girl's death, Dube told his brother he used the social media page to trick Cable into leaving her house while he waited in the woods wearing a ski mask. His idea was to fake-kidnap her and then "save" her ... but sadly, things didn't go according to plan.

In certain situations you don't even have time to think, you just act. A mother in Albuquerque, New Mexico jumped into her car and started a high speed chase when she found out her 4-year-old daughter was being abducted. The little girl was playing in her yard at Saint Anthony's Plaza Apartments on Wednesday when a group of teenagers saw that the girl was being kidnapped and they ran to tell the mother, Melissa Torrez. Torrez turned into a superhero and flew into action.

A fun Saturday afternoon turned into a horrific nightmare for a mother from South Sacramento, California and her three kids when a man  suddenly snatched the woman's 7-year-old daughter, threw her in his trunk, and then quickly drove away. Keep in mind this all happened during broad daylight. Isn't this the scariest thing ever? But the courage of this little girl will surprise you!

After almost a week of being free from Ariel Castro's evil grasp, the three victims in the Cleveland kidnappings case--Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus, and Michelle Knight--who were held captive for more than a decade in Castro's home, are finally speaking out, and expressing their thanks for all the love and support they have received since their miraculous escape.

The prosecutor in charge of the Ariel Castro kidnapping case announced yesterday that he's going to be bringing homicide charges against the depraved Castro for each and every one of the babies that weren't born because of him. According to police reports, Michelle Knight miscarried about five times because of the beatings that she received from Castro's hands. According to an Ohio state law, a person charged with killing an unborn child could face murder charges, which could result in the death penalty for Castro.

As if the Cleveland kidnapping involving Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight hasn't already had enough horrifying twists, another chilling possibility has just come to light: according to some reports, Knight told law enforcement officials that there was a fourth woman in the house of alleged kidnapper, Ariel Castro, but that the woman vanished one day.

Ugh, just when you think this case couldn't possibly get any more disturbing...
