Mother's Day was ruined for spectators at a Mother's Day parade in New Orleans after a gunman opened fire leaving 19 people injured--including two 10-year-old children. Police have released an image of the man who started firing shots into the crowd through surveillance footage, but the biggest issue they face is that the footage is grainy and makes him unidentifiable.
Authorities are hoping the public can recognize who the gunman is according to the video released.Continue Reading >
The mom of Cleveland kidnapper Ariel Castro has asked the victims of her son's depravity--Gina DeJesus, Amanda Berry, and Michelle Knight--for their forgiveness. Lilian Rodriguez talked to reporters from her car when she was leaving her house and it's obvious she's very distressed and sad by the entire ordeal.
I can't imagine what it's like for this mom to have a monster like Ariel Castro as a son!Continue Reading >
Three more suspects have been arrested in connection the Boston Marathon bombings, according to the Boston Police Department.
Authorities made the announcement on Twitter Wednesday morning. "Three additional suspects taken into custody in Marathon bombing case," the post read. "Details to follow."
It doesn't surprise me at all that the Boston bombing suspects' mother thinks her sons were framed. Zubeidat Tsarnaev, the mother of both Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, told reporters that she believes the tragic incident was all staged and the bombing was fake. Really? So what would explain the three deaths and the more than 200 injured folks? But then again, what mother wants to admit her own children are murderers?Continue Reading >
Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the 19-year-old surviving suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing that killed 3 people and injured more than 180, might be charged today in his hospital bed. Tsarnaev has remained in serious condition at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts and is currently unable to speak. Hopefully federal prosecutors are able to file today and get some answers behind this horrific incident that has left this country completly devastated!Continue Reading >
The FBI has just released video with images of two suspects sought in the Boston Marathon bombings from earlier this week. The two men were seen placing backpacks in the area where the two bombs exploded at the finish line of Monday's Marathon.
The images were captured close to the finish line where the bombs were placed, thanks to a security camera located at the Lord & Taylor store in the vicinity.
As if we needed any more tragedies in the U.S., a huge explosion at a fertilizer plant rocked the small Texas town of Waco on Wednesday night. The blast caused huge flames and caused serious damage to many buildings and other structures in a five-block radius around the plant (including a school and a nursing home). First reports say there were hundreds hurt, up to 160 according to current counts, and 5 to 15 dead. The blast was so strong that it was heard 40 miles to the north, reports The Washington Post, and registered 2.1 on the richter scale, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
But nothing that I'm saying right now will prepare you for the chilling video of the explosion that was captured by a man who, it seems, was recording the fire from his car a distance away when the blast occurred.
Yesterday, an unspeakable tragedy struck the people of Boston and shook the world. The running of the 117th Boston Marathon ended in death and destruction when two bombs exploded near the finish line, killing three and injuring 150. Among the youngest victims who died was an 8-year-old boy, Martin Richard, from Dorchester, Massachusetts.
Martin was at the Boston Marathon, standing alongside his mother and 6-year-old sister, to cheer on his father, William Richard, as he raced in the marathon. Martin ran to greet his father at the finish line when the bombs went off, killing the young boy. His mother and sister were also seriously injured in the explosion. This family did nothing to deserve this horrible tragedy, they just happened to be in the wrong place at the worst time. They were innocent victims.
As if the gruesome images of the deadly bombings at the Boston Marathon yesterday afternoon weren't scary enough, now there's a photo taken by spectator Dan Lampariello of a mysterious man who was photographed on a rooftop while the second explosion went off circulating throughout Twitter and sparking debate. The horrifying blasts killed 8-year-old Martin Richard, along with two others leaving 152 people seriously wounded. But this particular photo has left some buzzing with speculation has to whether or not this man had any relations to the bombs. Either way, considering all the horror that has already taken place, this image is quite chilling.
Boston Marathon explosions: 8-year-old boy among three killed in blasts that left nearly 150 injured
A little boy, identified by The Boston Globe as 8-year-old Martin Richard, was among the three victims of the horrific explosions that rocked the Boston Marathon on Monday afternoon. The world-renowned annual sporting event defined by its usual celebratory atmosphere was quickly transformed into a carnage reigned by pandemonium after two explosions went off minutes apart near the marathon's finish line, which is where little Martin was reportedly waiting for his dad together with the rest of his family. Martin's mom and one of his siblings were also grievously injured in the blasts, according to the Globe.
In addition, 144 people have been reported wounded, including 17 who are in critical condition, many who lost limbs and at least eight children with one of them being as young as 2.
