Giant rat viciously attacks 7-year-old girl while she sleeps!

In a scene straight out of a scary movie, a 7-year-old girl in England was attacked by a freakishly huge rat in the middle of the night!

Francesca Williams was fast asleep when she suddenly woke up in the middle of the night to something crawling on her leg. When her mother raced into her room after hearing her sreams, she found the young girl bleeding from bites to her face and arm. Shortly after, the family dog found a foot-long rat hiding underneath the child's bed!

Oh my god, that is seriously the most terrifying thing I've ever heard ... not to mention, completely disgusting.

The dog killed the rat upon discovering it, but little Francesca was left so traumatized that she didn't want to return to her own room for another week. Well, I definitely don't blame her! Can you imagine waking up in the middle of the night and finding a giant rat in your bed?! If that had been me, I don't think I would have ever wanted to return to that room.

To make matters even stranger, Francesca's parents say they had seen no signs of any rats in or near the house and couldn't understand how it managed to get into their daughter's room. Francesca was taken to the doctor and given some antibiotics to prevent any potential infection from the bites. Luckily, besides being understandably shaken, she remains unharmed.

That poor little girl! I hope that she is able to get over her fear and start feeling comfortable in her room again. Still, maybe her parents should consider letting the family dog sleep next to her bed for protection...just in case!
