Couple gets mauled by lion while having sex in public

Usually couples looking to spice things up outdoors do so in isolated areas in hopes that they won't get caught. But for one couple in Kariba, Zimbabwe, things took a tragic, deadly turn when their outdoor romantic tryst was interrupted by a lion that suddenly appeared and mauled the woman to death. The victim, Sharai Mawera, was having sex with her boyfriend behind a primary school when the feline attacked and killed her.

According to the New York Daily News, the boyfriend ran from the scene naked seeking help, but by the time he received assistance, it was too late. The scary part of this attack is that there is a chance that it can happen again in this part of town.

It's risky for couples to venture outside the bedroom and take their sexual liaisons outdoors. There's the issue of getting caught, finding a comfortable spot, but who would have thought a vicious animal would be something to worry about too?

News site My Zimbabwe, reports that the man had run away naked wearing only a condom to seek help as Mawera was getting attacked. Many motorists ignored him because they thought he was crazy due to his naked state and it wasn't until later that he finally received help.

To make this story even more shocking, it appears that the Kariba area has had a lion problem recently and at least seven of the felines have been spotted, and they're being blamed for three deaths. It's unclear whether the lion that attacked Mawera was killed, but townspeople and visitors are alarmed since the area is considered a popular tourist spot.    

That is one terrible sex romp gone awry! I understand that the couple was trying to share some intimate time together, but it's very unfortunate that they chose to do so in an area known for its lion attacks. It's sad that this man lost his girlfriend in such a horrific way, but maybe this will be a lesson to other couples in the area who are probably philandering around the way this couple was. Considering the recent lion scares in Mawera, it's safe to say that it's best to keep any sexual activity indoors ... where lions (hopefully) can't be found.
