Nothing is sadder or more horrible than a parent abandoning or mistreating their child. That's why I was so angry to hear of the 24-year-old Pennsylvania mother who left her 8-month-old daughter in the woods with only a bottle of milk. Why? She said she was seeking a "fresh start."

Ugh!

According to police, Jennifer Cutruzzula walked into the woods on Wednesday night and purposely left her child there. Luckily, an observant neighbor spotted her leaving without the baby and decided to investiagte. When she went to search the woods for herself, she found the baby crawling on her stomach in the mud! Can you believe that?! To make matters worse, temperatures were in the mid-30s and it was raining!

The neighbor alerted the authorities, who say Cutruzzula told them she was having a hard time and home and wanted to start over. Are you kidding me? How selfish can someone possibly be?! Why even have a baby if you are so unwilling to take care of it? Even if she truly felt incapable of caring for the child, why would she just abandon it like that? There are other options she could've taken to ensure the baby ended up in a safe, loving home with people who actually wanted her. She didn't have to be so cruel as to leave her out in the woods to die.

Thankfully, the baby was taken to a hospital and is now in good condition. Meanwhile, Cutruzzula has been charged with endangering the welfare of children.

I just hope that authorities find a place for that baby where she will be treated properly and get the love and attention she deserves.
