When most moms begin planning for their son's 16th birthday, hiring strippers is normally not one of the tasks on their to-do list. But apparently New York mom Judy Viger feels differently. The 33-year-old was arrested on Monday after allegedly hiring two strippers to perform lap dances on the guests of her teenage son's party!

What kind of mother does that?!

Apparently, Viger hired women from a company called Tops in Bottoms to perform in the private room she had rented for her son's 16th  birthday. Approximately 80 guests--including at least one 13-year-old!-were then given what police describe as "personal and intimate" lap dances. Seriously, how in the world could this crazy woman think this was even remotely appropriate?

Adults also attended the party and were allegedly outraged at the sexual performances, but police weren't alerted until the mother of a 15-year-old boy who attended the birthday spotted some of the racy photos on Facebook. Viger has since been charged with five counts of endangering the welfare of a child and could face up to a year in prison if convicted.

Meanwhile, the company that provided the strippers is maintaining that the kids at the party were underage.

Well, that sounds like a lame excuse if I've ever heard one. I'm calling BS! How could they possibly not know?! I know some high school kids are tall for their age and all, but please. Especially if there were kids as young as 13 there, there's no way those women could've possibly overlooked their age.

I'm just horrified that a mom even came up with this idea in the first place. Was she trying to be cool or something? I just don't get it. I think if either of my parents ever attempted to hire a stripper for me, even now, I would be mortified and more than a little grossed out.

But though she obviously deserves blame, I also can't help but wonder why the other adults at the party didn't put a stop to it. I mean, did they just stand around and watch as their teenage kids got a lap dance? So disturbing!

I'm just glad that someone eventually reported it to the police. At least one parent was paying attention!

This is an over reaction. No "sex" took place. The fact that teens were exposed to some level of female nudity is NOT child abuse. It may be of poor taste but kids certainly are exposed to sexualized scenes and many levels of nudity in movies and video games. Rating of "R" doesn't keep the kids out of the theater it just says they must be accompanied by an adult. I disagree with this mother but I certainly don't think it's any business of the state at this level.
