Jealous Latina wife pours boiling water on husband's genitals

Jealousy is serious, it can drive people mad, it's a bad advisor, and that they can make life impossible for couples. Case in point? A Colombian woman, Yolivel Lopez, is being accused of burning--actually, more like charred--her husband's genitals when she found out he was having an affair.

The horrible case happened in Cereté, in northeast Colombia. It seems the indignant wife got a call from the woman her husband, Nefer Netan, was having an affair with, telling her that she had just had sex with him.

Husband, Netan, got home way later than usual the night Lopez received the call from his supposed lover, and he had told her that he had been drinking with friends which is why he was so late.

After she heard his excuse, she encouraged him to go to bed, and she headed straight for the kitchen, reports say, where she boiled a large pot of water, which she then proceeded to pour over his genitals while he slept.

According to reports, the neighbors said that the man's screams "pierced the night sky" and that his wails woke up the entire neighborhood. Netan was taken to a local hospital where the doctors stated that his genitals had been "completely destroyed" by the burns.

Neighbors say they haven't seen Lopez since the day of the accident.

Now, I'm not saying an infidelity isn't painful, that it's not incredibly hurtful, or that when people find out, they don't get angry. But from getting angry to getting so enraged you're capable of causing such harm, I think is a bit much. Not only did she not know for sure if the supposed lover's claims were true, but also, Lopez needs to think about how karma might get her in the future after causing such harm to someone else.
