Mother of youngest Colorado shooting victim loses baby in miscarriage (VIDEO)

In more heartbreaking news from the Colorado shooting, Ashley Moser, the pregnant woman who lost her 6-year-old daughter in the ordeal and took a bullet to the stomach, miscarried her unborn child.  

Many were calling the baby a "miracle" for surviving the initial wounds Moser sustained in the shooting. But after undergoing surgery related to her neck and abdomen wounds, the 25-year-old suffered a miscarriage, as revealed in the statement her family released this past weekend. The tragedy is especially devastating since Moser already lost one daughter in the Aurora massacre, Veronica Moser-Sullivan, the youngest victim killed in the attack.

Hearing this, it makes me wonder if we will ever really stop dealing with the aftermath of that terrible night. I just can't imagine how she and her loved ones must be dealing with such a great loss, all caused at the hands of one evil and cruel gunman. No one person or family should have to suffer so much, especially when they were victims of such a random and senseless act of violence, and I am so saddened on Moser's behalf. She is so young and yet she's already experienced enough tragedy for a lifetime.

I know that the punishment of James Holmes will only be a miniscule consolation after what she's already gone through, but I hope for the sake of Moser and her family, that he is convicted harshly and given no second thoughts from there on out. In the meantime, my thoughts and prayers are with Moser and her loved ones.
