The solution to your child's obesity problem may stem from the size of their dinner plate. A study done by researchers at Temple University found that first graders served themselves more food when they used a large plate as opposed to a smaller one. As if controlling what your child eats hasn't become an issue on its own, plate sizes have increased, too.

Samoa Air is the first airline to do the unthinkable: charging passengers by their weight. This wouldn't be the first time the issue of overweight passengers and flying has been debated, but now it's becoming a reality. Samoa Air flies to to American Samoa, North Tonga, Niue, North Cook Islands, and French Polynesia, and although controversial, the airline defends its decision to charge passengers for their weight especially since the Pacific Islands has an obesity problem.
Samoa Air's Chief Executive, Chris Langton, says that the airline is making the right decision by stating: "Airplanes don't run on seats, they run on weight." But not everyone is happy with their decision to do this since they fear that it will influence other airlines to do the same.
As NBC's popular weight loss show, The Biggest Loser finished its 14 season last night, it didn't end without some extreme tears and incredible makeovers. This season's winner, 26-year-old Danni Allen, lost a staggering 121 pounds after starting the show at 258 pounds. Allen is the fifth female contestant to win The Biggest Loser since its inception and won against the runner up Jeff Nichols by JUST one pound!
The shocking weight loss earned Allen a $250,000 cash prize and her total transformation has inspired many other women to follow their weight loss dreams.
