Ahora que llegó el Día de Acción de Gracias y todo parece ser luces, comidas y celebración, ¿por qué no detenernos un momento y pensar sobre los verdaderos valores que celebramos?  Para mí, Thanksgiving o Acción de Gracias, es una de mis fechas favoritas porque me recuerda mirar desde una diferente perspectiva y agradecer de corazón todo aquello que tengo y tiendo a olvidar.  

Para muchos el agradecimiento es sólo una forma de cortesía. Sin embargo el poder de decir "gracias" va muchos más allá de un simple acto de buena educación.  Se ha comprobado que las personas agradecidas llevan vidas más conectadas y felices.  Siendo esto parte tan clave de nuestra vida. ¿Cómo le enseñamos a nuestros hijos el verdadero valor de la gratitud?

Thanksgiving is tomorrow and, although I have my family menu all set up, I'm still not sure what I'm going to do for dessert! 

Well, that's not totally true. I know that I'm definitely going to make two pies and I know that one of them is going to be a Latinized pumpkin pie. The recipe, below, is simply amazing. Then, of course, there's the 4 more great Latin fall pies that are absolutely to-die-for...but how do you choose? To be honest, I don't know what sounds better: the rum-infused pecan pie, spiced sweet potato meringue pie, dulce de leche apple pie or the spiced cranberry pineapple pie.
