A Saudi man was recently left shocked when his fiancée informed him she would only marry him on one condition: He also had to marry two of her friends!
When his bride-to-be first requested that he also marry her two work colleagues (all school teachers), the man apparently laughed it off, thinking it was all a joke. But he quickly realized that she was completely serious. Can you believe that?!Continue Reading >
Although the bride and groom are the stars of their own wedding, often times the flower girl or ring bearer steal the show. Take for instance the flower girl in this video who became the center of attention after she appeared running down the aisle screaming and crying.
Guests appear shocked by her sudden outburst, but our main concern is that the bride isn't offended by her out-of-control flower girl. Sounds like she has a case of cold feet and she's not even the one getting married!Continue Reading >
Your wedding day is one of the most important milestones of your life. And like most brides-to-be, you'd like to share that special day with your closest friends and family. The problem is not everyone makes the cut on your invitation list. Naturally, this may offend your old high school classmate, but now there seems to be a way to break the news to them without telling it to their face ... so to speak.
The new way of telling friends (or family) that they're not invited to your wedding is through an e-mail titled, "You're not invited" alerts. As controversial as it may be, for some people it's an easy way to get the point across without having to deal with the awkward you're-not-invited talk.Continue Reading >
Each bride has their own style, so every wedding is different, but some are definitely more unique than others. One recent example? An unorthodox New Zealand couple, Nick and Wendy Lowe, were married Saturday--while they were in the nude!
According to a local newspaper, the two had a "clothing optional" wedding at Wellington Naturist Club this past weekend. Apparently, guests were asked to dress for dinner, but had the option of going nude for the dancing portion of the event. And the Lowes must have some very open-minded friends and family as about half of the 120 guests decided to get naked!
Can you believe that?! I wouldn't ever consider attending a nude wedding, let alone participating in one or having one for myself. Still, to each their own right? I guess as long as they're happy with the outcome, that's all that matters!
Besides, they're not the only ones to get married in a very unconventional manner. Below, check out 6 other unique weddings:Continue Reading >
Some relationships really can come overcome the hardest of obstacles, as proven by soldier Trey Durham and his new wife, Jacqueline. After two years of dating, the couple realized they couldn't wait until Durham returned from Afghanistan later this year and instead decided to get married his past Sunday…over Skype!
At last! Mario Lopez and his fiance Courtney Mazza tied the knot this past Saturday in a very intimate ceremony on the beautiful sandy beaches of Mexico. According to People mag, the closed-doors event took place in a very romantic spot in Punta Mita, where the happy couple celebrated with some mariachis and a unique cake created by famed Cake Boss Buddy Valastro.
Although details of the couple's extravagant nuptials were completely off-limits to all cameras, Eva Longoria was one of the guests and managed to take some pics--which she shared on Twitter and Facebook! Check out some of the images below!Continue Reading >
As I've said before, I am a big proponent of brides straying from tradition and adding some fun unique aspects o their wedding, whether it's by wearing a pink dress or having a brother-sister dance. That's why I absolutely LOVE this video of an awesome father-daughter duo who performed an amazing tap number instead of a traditional dance when it came time for them to take the floor!Continue Reading >
If you don't think that true love exists, this story is going to restore your belief. A couple that has been married for 88 years wanted to immortalize their special love by finally taking wedding pictures that they were never able to take back when they were originally married because, well access to cameras was nearly impossible almost a century ago!Continue Reading >
I've always thought that the best weddings are those that mix a little bit of tradition with cultural and individual flair. My philosophy is live and let live--if a bride wants to tango down the aisle, hey, who am I to stop her? That's why when I heard about a new wedding trend in which some brides are having a brother-sister dance in addition to the conventional father-daughter dance, I thought it was SO sweet. But apparently, some people don't agree, even going so far as to call the now-growing practice weird and potentially creepy!Continue Reading >
When I saw the post by an anonymous member of our Confesiones group, I wanted to run out and tell her: No! Don't do it! "Should I get married or not?" is how she titled her post and in it she tells us she plans to marry the father of her 2 month old baby next April. The problem is that she has many doubts as they have been fighting a lot and, since the baby was born, she says she feels very lonely because they never do anything together as a family.
Like many of the members who've already left comments advising her, I agree that marriage is not going to solve any of their problems. On the contrary, it is possible that it worsens them, so why get married?Continue Reading >
