Ryan Lochte in the role he was meant to play on '30 Rock' (VIDEO)

Well, it's FINALLY happened: Olympic gold medalist (and major hottie) Ryan Lochte has landed the TV role that he's absolutely perfect for: playing Nina Arianda's "sex idiot" who has just lost his shirt on NBC's 30 Rock this week. Um, is anyone else but me extremely excited to see some more of this half-Cuban's body? And, of course, making fun of himself… Yes, I just LOVE it.

Mariah Carey, Gwen Stefani & 5 reasons I can't wait for the NFL season!

Yippee! I just found out that Mariah Carey and Gwen Stefani are going to be kicking off the 2012 NFL season with an awesome live performance at Rockefeller Center for the hour-long pre-game show. Of course I'll be tuning in because right after, my beloved NY Giants (and last year's Super Bowl reigning champs, whoot whoot!) will be taking on the Dallas Cowboys.

So, yeah--some of your probably read that and felt like I was speaking a foreign language. But the thing is, I LOVE football. As a matter of fact I love most sports; baseball, soccer, basketball--I know, I'm a freak. Although it makes my hubby super happy (and most of his friends jealous, ha!) I have to admit, it does suck being the only girl around when we're watching big sporting events. The only time there is every really a lot of other women around is during the Superbowl, and even then, most of the chicas spend their time confined to the kitchen. UGH.

Ryan Lochte to appear on '90210' + 5 other shows he needs to join!

I already knew that Ryan Lochte wanted to join Dancing with the Stars and maybe other reality TV shows, but he surprised everyone by landing a cameo in 90210! Be still, my heart.

Although I'm a big fan of the half-Cuban Olympic gold medalist swimmer (and, really, who isn't at this point?), I'm not really that into reality TV. I do love dancing and cooking competitions, but Ryan's recent Funny or Die videos and this new unfortunately not-shirtless role on the Los Angeles-based show have made me think about all of the OTHER great shows that Ryan absolutely must star in. Here are the 5 other shows that need to give Ryan Lochte a call ASAP.

London Olympics 2012: Mexican-American runner Leo Manzano wins silver, makes Latinos proud

Okay, I admit it: I'm not a big watcher of the Olympics. There have been some amazing stories to come out of London Olympics 2012, though: half-Cuban Ryan Lochte winning the first gold medal for Team USA, Mexican-American Marlen Esparza becoming the first U.S. woman to win a boxing match, NYC-born Dominican Félix Sánchez winning gold in honor of his abuelita and many, many more. And he did it all with the memory of his grandmother, the woman who raised the now 34-year-old athlete, in his mind and heart.
