Well, it's FINALLY happened: Olympic gold medalist (and major hottie) Ryan Lochte has landed the TV role that he's absolutely perfect for: playing Nina Arianda's "sex idiot" who has just lost his shirt on NBC's 30 Rock this week. Um, is anyone else but me extremely excited to see some more of this half-Cuban's body? And, of course, making fun of himself… Yes, I just LOVE it.
Yippee! I just found out that Mariah Carey and Gwen Stefani are going to be kicking off the 2012 NFL season with an awesome live performance at Rockefeller Center for the hour-long pre-game show. Of course I'll be tuning in because right after, my beloved NY Giants (and last year's Super Bowl reigning champs, whoot whoot!) will be taking on the Dallas Cowboys.
So, yeah--some of your probably read that and felt like I was speaking a foreign language. But the thing is, I LOVE football. As a matter of fact I love most sports; baseball, soccer, basketball--I know, I'm a freak. Although it makes my hubby super happy (and most of his friends jealous, ha!) I have to admit, it does suck being the only girl around when we're watching big sporting events. The only time there is every really a lot of other women around is during the Superbowl, and even then, most of the chicas spend their time confined to the kitchen. UGH.
You know how some women say that stuck with their cheating husband "for the kids"? Well, it takes a LOT more than that to satisfy some women! The Latina wife of NBA All-Star and shooting guard for the Los Angeles Lakers Kobe Bryant, Vanessa Bryant, is now saying it's not about the apologies or the pretty jewelry that Kobe's gifted her in the past: it's ALL about his championship rings!
That's right, the real reason Vanessa Bryant is staying with infamous cheating husband Kobe Bryant is all because he's a winner--and she fully expects him to keep on bringing those wins home.
Although I'm a big fan of the half-Cuban Olympic gold medalist swimmer (and, really, who isn't at this point?), I'm not really that into reality TV. I do love dancing and cooking competitions, but Ryan's recent Funny or Die videos and this new unfortunately not-shirtless role on the Los Angeles-based show have made me think about all of the OTHER great shows that Ryan absolutely must star in. Here are the 5 other shows that need to give Ryan Lochte a call ASAP.
Evelyn Lozada and Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson had what seemed like a fairy-tale romance. From meeting and flirting on Twitter, to her very public courting on the reality TV show Basketball Wives, to their eventual engagement (with no less than 10 carats!) and finally, their big wedding on July 4th of this year.
Now, their romance seems to have taken a turn for the worse, after Chad was arrested on domestic abuse charges this weekend, allegations of a mistress came out and Evelyn was finally forced to release a statement addressing all the drama. Although the couple has not yet officially split, take a look at Evelyn and Chad's love--from happy beginning to the possible rocky end.Continue Reading >
It's barely a month since he live-tweeted his wedding, but Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson has just been arrested in a domestic violence assault against new wife Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada.
In a bizarre incident that involved an argument over a condom receipt that Evelyn found in their car, the NFL reports that the two argued until Chad head-butted his wife and she had to be taken to the hospital to be treated for a "pretty good-sized" laceration, according to Police Captain Dale Engle.Continue Reading >
I know I can't possibly be the only one that is SUPER motivated to work out right now. And yes, it's all because of the London 2012 Olympics and watching the amazingly hot bodies of men like Ryan Lochte (can you tell I'm a bit obsessed?) and the abilities of women like Marlen Esparza.
Well, not only am I really motivated to exercise more but I'm also super excited about the nutrition lessons we can learn from Olympians. It's not easy to keep up those amazing bodies but their advice is also not something that we regular folks can't do, either. Just check out the 5 things Olympians can teach us about nutrition and try them yourself.Continue Reading >
Okay, I admit it: I'm not a big watcher of the Olympics. There have been some amazing stories to come out of London Olympics 2012, though: half-Cuban Ryan Lochte winning the first gold medal for Team USA, Mexican-American Marlen Esparza becoming the first U.S. woman to win a boxing match, NYC-born Dominican Félix Sánchez winning gold in honor of his abuelita and many, many more. Now there's another incredible story to add to the list: 27-year-old Mexican-born Leo Manzano has just won a silver medal in the men's 1,500-meter run, becoming the first American to win a medal in this event since 1968!
Dominican American Félix Sánchez has won the 400-meter hurdles final in the London 2012 Olympics for the Dominican Republic, making it the D.R.'s first gold medal of the 2012 Games and the country's second ever Olympic gold medal (he won the first one ever back in 2004 at the Athens Games). And he did it all with the memory of his grandmother, the woman who raised the now 34-year-old athlete, in his mind and heart.
Ever since the London 2012 Olympics began, pretty much every woman in America has fallen in love with gold medalist swimmer Ryan Lochte. I know I have! Between his athletic skills, killer bod and penchant for rhinestone accessories how can you not? Lucky for us, Lochte recently revealed what exactly he wants when it comes to women and romance—and trust me, he's not as innocent as that sweet smile suggests!
