Sleeping with your baby could be a deadly mistake

A new study has revealed that sleeping in bed with your baby raises the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) significantly. Though in America pediatricians have long recommended that babies sleep on their backs in an empty crib, many parents still choose to co-sleep, especially in the early days when night wakings are frequent and everyone is exhausted. But the study suggests that even parents who co-sleep and take measures to lower the risk of SIDS such as breastfeeding and not smoking or drinking, are making an unsafe choice.

The 7 funniest lies parents have ever told their kids to get them to behave

Every parent lies to their kid at some point. Whether it's telling your kids about Santa Claus or warning them that their face will stay stuck a certain way, telling a few fibs is basically an essential part of parenting…even when they're kind of mean.

Case in point? My own mom used to frighten me into behaving by telling me that she had a magic compact, which could show her whatever my sister and I were doing at any given time. Needless to say, we were very well-mannered kids!

5 Tips for healthy eating out with kids

Just last week I covered a story about the excessive amount of sodium found in convenience foods for toddlers, and not so surprisingly I've once again found myself pouring over a report chronicling just how little food companies care about what they are putting into foods prepared specifically for children, but this time around, it's chain restaurants. So what are parents to do when they want to enjoy a meal out with their little ones without loading up on fat, salt and calories?

7 Super cute ways to track your baby's growth (PHOTOS)

My little guy will be turning one in a month and one thing I still regret is that I didn't take monthly photos to document his growth. Gracias Mamá: 6 Reasons I'm thankful you're my mom

Dear mom,

Not everyone can say that they have a really good relationship with their mom.
