Family members of the pilot that was at the helm of the doomed plane where Jenni Rivera and her entourage lose their lives this past December 9 are suing the Diva de la Banda's company, Jenni Rivera Enterprises, and the operator of the flight, Starwood Enterprises for wrongful death.
I can't even begin to imagine the pain that it must mean to lose a loved one. But in my opinion, after your loved one is gone, up to what point is it appropriate to muddle their memory with lawsuits that won't bring them back? Pilot Miguel Perez Soto's relatives, specifically his widow, Isabel Carrero and their son, Miguel Perez Carrero, have decided to go ahead with a wrongful death lawsuit involving Jenni's company and the operators.

In the lawsuit, they also include the maker of the plane, Learjet Corporation. The suit was filed in Chicago and alleges that the pilot died unjustly due to the negligence of the companies named in the legal documents. Specifically the family claims lack of proper maintenance, repair, and inspections. It's been reported that the plane carrying Jenni and her crew suffered significant damage during a faulty landing in Amarillo, Texas in 2005.
Again, I understand the terrible pain and frustration this family must be feeling--and I know they must somehow feel that someone needs to literally pay for that pain. That's really the end of all these lawsuits: to somehow try to mitigate the pain of such a huge loss. But what does Jenni Rivera have to do in this whole mess? The truth is that I really don't see the point of dragging her, her family, and her company into a wrongful death lawsuit that means nothing. I honestly think it's quite distasteful how some people are hanging on to the late Diva de la Banda's fame in order to make any sort of money from her--even after her untimely death. How is she going to be responsible for an accident where she herself lost her life?
Please, just let her rest in peace.

That is terrible! What does she have to do with how the company maintained the jet? While, I undrstand that the family is grieving and their loves ones are gone. But She had nothing to do with that accident.
I agree, no money in the world can settle anything, just like she lost her husband,she should think about Jenni little boy who lost his mother,Jenni would not have gotten on that plane if she knew the damage it had, the pilots knew,so should the riveras sue her?
