Is Sofia Vergara hospitalized & missing the Oscars?

One of the celebs that we're most looking forward to seeing on the Red Carpet tonight is Sofia Vergara, but tonight, reports have surfaced that the Colombian Modern Family star has cancelled her Oscars appearance because she had to be hospitalized and will be undergoing surgery. Oh no!

The U.K. Daily Mail earlier today reported that sources close to Sofia confirmed that the actress was in the hospital, although what exactly her condition is was not yet known. Apparently, funny lady Sofia also cancelled her plans to attend Madonna's Oscar party.

However, the Huffington Post updated reports about the Colombian star's condition affirming that a source close to the star said she had NOT been in the hospital and she was "totally fine."

I don't know at this point want to believe. According to the Daily Mail and several other sources (and pictures!), Sofia was seen out and about in L.A. on Friday night with her fiancé Nick Loeb. I guess we'll have to wait and keep watching the Red Carpet to see if we catch a glimpse of the star. Call us a little skeptical, but this may be a pretty brilliant P.R. ploy so all eyes are on Sofia and her arrival. We would have been watching out for her regardless though!
