'I Love Jenni' to return to air with final footage & tributes to Jenni Rivera
It looks like Jenni Rivera fans will have another chance to see their idol on the small screen. I Love Jenni, the show that turned the late singer into a household name, is returning to the air for a third season in late April.
New episodes will feature the final footage of Rivera in the month before her tragic death. The season will also follow her family, including her 5 children, as they attempt to navigate through their loss and preserve Rivera's legacy.
A few weeks before the show's big premiere, the network Mun2 will also air a one-hour special, entitled We Love Jenni, featuring talents, such as Thalia and Mario Lopez, paying tribute to Rivera.

I have to admit, I'm a little surprised that the show is still airing, given the heartbreaking circumstances of Rivera's death. Won't it be incredibly painful, particularly for her children, to watch their mom on screen just a few months after her horrific accident? Then again, maybe her family decided Rivera would have wanted them to continue her work. I can't blame them for wanting to keep her legacy alive if they truly think that's the right thing to do. And at least by being involved, the family can take some comfort in knowing that the show is is happening on their terms.
But even if that's the case, I just hope that the family doesn't let the show distract them from what is really important--which is being there for each other in this still-difficult time and most importantly, providing support to Rivera's kids who need it the most.
