Gerard Piqué opens up about Shakira and their new baby boy (VIDEO)

I, along with every other Shakira fan, was thrilled to hear that she and boyfriend Gerard Piqué finally welcomed their first child on Tuesday!  The new parents took to social media to express their happy news--and those emotions were still evident on Piqué's face when reporters caught up to him yesterday evening.

The proud new dad was leaving the hospital to head to soccer practice, but he stopped to chat and revealed some details about their new bundle of joy.

"I was very nervous," Piqué said of his baby boy, Milan's, birth. "It isn't the same as when you see it on TV."  He also revealed that both he and Shakira had cried with joy at "the unique moment" of their son's arrival.

Aww! Doesn't that make your heart melt?! I'm just so happy for the two of them! They are such a cute couple and I know that they will make great parents to their new son. In fact, it seems as if they have already started--look at how adorably nervous Piqué seems, just like any other first time father would be.

And though the couple hasn't released a photo of their baby boy just yet, it seems as if he has inherited his parents' good looks! "They said he has my lips, but we will see," Piqué said. Milan's grandparents, Shaki's parents, agreed, telling reporters that their new grandson is beautiful and that he looks just like his dad.

Um ... is anyone really surprise to hear that Milan is already a handsome little boy? I'm definitely not! How can he not be with such great genes? I just hope they share a picture soon so the world can meet the sweet little guy!
