BREAKING NEWS: Get ready to meet Shakira's baby boy!

According to several reports, including one from the Associated Press, Spanish soccer player Gerard Piqué has announced that his son with Colombian superstar Shakira will be born TODAY in Barcelona, and Spanish media has confirmed that there are various rooms in Teknon hospital in the Calatan capital reserved for the power couple.

We have only one thing to say if this is all true: We are SO EXCITED!

According to Spanish media, an army of photographers are already camped out in front of the couple's Barcelona home and another huge group in front of the clinic, with the hopes that they can capture an image of the Colombian songstress as she leaves home or enters the hospital to have her baby. But I really wouldn't be surprised if she evades them all through some secret door or some other method.

Once she does arrive at the hospital, she will be in good hands. From the beginning of her at-risk pregnancy (remember the toxoplasmosis diagnosis) she's been in the care of renowned doctor Carlota García Valdecasas, who was also the doctor in charge of Spanish royal (daughter of the King and Queen) Princess Cristina's four births. Piqué and Shaki had announced they are having a boy, but we're still waiting to find out the name and all of the details about the little man, because, you know--he's not born yet!

According to reports, sources at the Teknon clinic revealed that Piqué will be the only male present during the birth, due to Shakira's request for only female doctors and nurses in the delivery room. All of those present must also sign a confidentiality agreement to avoid any leaks. The important thing is that the doctors do their job well.

Because of Shakira's age, the baby's large size and the pop star's supposed growing discomfort, the Huffington Post reports that doctors decided to schedule the delivery for today to avoid complications.

The last time that Shaki was seen out in public was about a week ago at the release of her dad William Mebarak's book, at Barcelona's La Casa del Libro. Reports indicate that her parents and two of her siblings are with the mom-to-be in Spain right now.
