Are La La Vazquez and Carmelo Anthony splitting up?

This past Monday, Knicks fans watched in surprise as star player Carmelo Anthony lost his temper and went off on Boston Celtics team member, Kevin Garnett, during a heated game at Madison Square Garden. But while most of the audience probably assumed the fight stemmed from a sports-related issue, it turns out the real reason the two almost came to blows actually had nothing to do with basketball--and everything to do with Anthony's wife, La La Vazquez!

According to some reports, Garnett made a dig at Anthony while on the court, telling him, "Your... wife tastes like Honey Nut Cheerios!" Ugh…gross much?! What kind of grown man makes immature, disrespectful comments like that anyway?

Unfortunately for Garnett, his offensive remark came at the worst time possible. Apparently, Anthony and La La have been having marital problems for some time and are now estranged. So when Garnett made the nasty remark regarding her, it completely set Anthony off.

Yikes! Well, I don't blame Anthony for getting angry. Marital problems or not, I don't think any man would be too pleased with Garnett's comment and what it was insinuating. I'm just relieved that the two didn't actually start punching each other right there on the court! But apparently there's no longer need to worry as Anthony says the two have already talked it out. Good for them!

Still, I can't help but be sad to hear rumors that La La and Anthony are going through a rocky time. I think they make such a cute couple and have always applauded how stable and secure they seem to be, especially given their hectic lifestyles. I would hate to see their family split up! I just hope that they can work it out and continue to be an adorable couple, as well as great parents to their little boy, Kiyan.
