The London 2012 Olympics are officially coming to a close! Today, the closing ceremony --which will reportedly feature performances from acts like The Spice Girls, One Direction and Ed Sheeran--will take place, marking the end of a thrilling and unforgettable couple of weeks. These past 17 days have been filled with plenty of highs and lows from unexpected victories to shocking losses to amazing comebacks. And let's not forget the many records that were broken in various arenas of the games!

Gabrielle Douglas makes history
Just days after she helped the US take the top spot in the team competition, Douglas won gymnastics' biggest prize: A gold medal for the all-around individual competition. She also made Olympics history, becoming the first African-American to win gold in the all-around.
