Sofia Vergara, Louis C.K. & Bobby Cannavale snag Emmy nominations!
The 64th Annual Primetime Emmy nominations were announced earlier today and I'm SO happy to report that my favorite funny woman, Sofia Vergara, has snagged her 3rd nomination for her role as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett on ABC's Modern Family.
Plus, two other Latinos have been nominated. Bobby Cannavale, who's half-Cuban, received a nomination for guest actor in a comedy series for his role in Nurse Jackie, while comedian Louis C.K., who's half-Mexican, earned a nominator for outstanding lead actor in Louie.

Obviously, there's no need for me to rave about Sofia Vergara. The Colombian star is one of the best parts of Modern Family and I am even MORE excited to see what happens with her next year, since now her character is expecting a baby. In the meantime, though, I'm sure she'll rock the Emmy's red carpet—and hopefully finally get that trophy!
Meanwhile, everyone raves about the FX series Louie, so I'm not really surprised that the comedian has earned what some are calling a "well-deserved" nod. I'll definitely be rooting for him!
Plus, Bobby Cannavale is pretty downright amazing. He's been one of my favorite actors ever since I saw him in the Broadway show (with Chris Rock) Motherf*cker with the Hat last year. Before, though, I still had a serious crush on him, just based off of his performances in Sex and the City and as Vince, Will's boyfriend (of Will & Grace)—a role that he also received earned him an Emmy nomination.

Although I'm really happy for these three Latino stars, I do wonder, just as Lee Hernandez points out in the Huffington Post, why there are only THREE nominations going to our stars. I mean, seriously, has there been nobody else that earned a nod? Sara Ramirez, of Grey's Anatomy, and Lana Parilla, of Once Upon a Time, were definitely overlooked! Oh well. I'll still be watching the telecast to see who wins; and here's to hoping there will be more Latinos next year.
