As a woman, a woman of color, and a mother, I am offended that you've called Quvenzhané Wallis a cunt. Did you expect the 9-year-old Wallis to issue a statement defending herself fully comprehending why adults would use the most offensive word you can call a woman?
You've left a nasty stain as Wallis celebrated her day as the youngest Best Actress nominee in Oscar history for "Beasts of the Southern Wild." And in case you don't realize, that is a HUGE deal!

Santos Barillas isn't winning any parenting awards after he left his 2-year-old in his cold pickup truck while he got lap dances from girls in bikinis and drank his way to oblivion. The Canoga Park, California dad was found slumped over the steering wheel, passed out from all the alcohol ... and--get this-- his daughter was in the backseat of the truck.
According to CBS Los Angeles, a parking lot attendant at the bar saw him draped over the steering wheel and took the keys away after noticing Barillas' child. Others called the police and Barillas is facing child endangerment charges.
Watching a live C-section at Women's Memorial Hermann Hospital over Twitter sounded like a good idea at first. The curiosity of the birth and the possible educational benefits (ha!) were quickly replaced by the discomfort of my stomach balling up. Still, I continued to watch as doctors at the Houston hospital sliced a woman's abdomen and delivered a healthy baby boy by Caesarean.
Even if you've had a C-section, it does not mean you a had front row seat. There was probably a curtain separating you from the action. For most women, that's how they'd like to keep it.

When I read this article about why it's important to let your children fail, it was a gentle, yet sobering reminder why it also applies to me and my son's success in the future. Bringing him a forgotten lunch or homework to school actually causes my child more harm and sets him up for failure. Wow. What a reality check that was.
Dogs are just amazing and marvelous creatures! I'm not a dog owner at the moment, but, boy, do I love dogs.
There's no shortage of dogs for me to admire and play with walking around my neighborhood. I'll even stop by, talk to, and pet dogs waiting for their owners outside of coffee shops or stores. There was one time my son and I sat in Central Park and spent hours dog-watching and laughing at the silly things we noticed about dogs.
